Easy like Mother Nature: Color Trends we Love

Sherwin-Williams is all about celebrating contemporary life and it shows in their color palettes for 2018 that you can incorporate into your home decorating and staging. Affinity, Connectivity, and Sincerity.

Sherwin-Williams says that each color is inspired by “the collective culture of the moment – from fashion to technology – and captures the aura of a year that is bound to be full of progress.”

Here’s a look at each color:

Affinity: This color is a combination of blue, fuchsia, and brown, and is meant to celebrate the connection of people and places. Affinity is meant to make you feel relaxed but also excited about unexpected fun! The company recommends decorating with this color using a base of neutral browns and vibrant accent colors in pinks and blues!

Connectivity: This palette is inspired by innovations in technology and includes oranges, blues, greens, and yellow. It’s modern and playful and its blues are balanced with neutrals, warm yellow, and purples. Creams and grays will give this color plenty of warmth to make any room feel comfortable!

Sincerity: Minimalism is having a moment in home decorating and staging. Sherwin-Williams predicts this trend isn’t going anywhere, either. However, minimalism is no longer about an empty space but rather a space that is full of possibilities. Sincerity, inspired by Minimalism, is about mindful living and creating an environment to disconnect and recharge. It’s made of soft neutrals, greens, and pinks to create a color of harmony.
