With color popping up everywhere thanks to the changing season, you may want to bring some of that wonderful greenery inside to decorate your home.
Here are some great ideas for adding greenery to your accessories, whether it’s botanicals, terrariums, or other fresh greens!
Decorate a picture frame: You can give new life to a boring old frame by adding some green garland to it! Whether you’re going for a festive look or just want to add some green to your life, you can layer tree cuttings and holding them in place with twine, rope, or ribbon to give the frame a new look.
Rustic vases: The shabby chic look is a popular trend and you can give your home some added “shabbiness” by taking old soup cans and putting some of your favorite greenery in them! You can use tree cuttings, flowers, or other greens to convert the now-painted soup cans and turning them into rustic vases! Put them on the mantel or use them as a centerpiece for a guaranteed conversation starter on your DIY skills!
Letter wreath: Purchase a cardboard letter of your last name and cover it with garland or some of your favorite greens. It’ll give your front door a fun spring touch without being too overwhelming. You can easily secure the greens on there with hot glue to cover the entire surface of the letter before using ribbon on the top to hang it on the door.
Go with botanical prints: If you don’t want to use botanicals inside, you can always go with botanical prints to decorate the inside of your home. Prints can add a beautiful touch to your home without requiring the upkeep that an actual plant would need. Put them in fun frames to give them some added personality.
Build a terrarium: Terrariums are immensely popular and they’re the perfect way to up your home decor. To make a terrarium, all you need is a glass container, rocks, soil, and succulents. The rocks will create a drainage system so you don’t have to give it much attention other than adding a little water every now and again. Succulents will give your home some added greenery without too much commitment.
