We’re well into summer and if you haven’t already thrown a summer celebration then it’s time to start planning! The days are long and hot, the nights are cool and crisp, and we want you to have as much fun this summer as possible before the new school year rolls around!
While many of the summer’s big holidays like Memorial Day and Fourth of July are long gone, that doesn’t mean it’s too late to celebrate the season. Here are some tips to help you throw the block’s best summer bash:
1. Don’t forget yard decor: One of the most exciting things about a summer party is all the fun decor. If you’re throwing a Hawaiian party, line your walkway with blow up palm trees, luau decor, or candles! Don’t forget to do a little landscaping to ensure your yard is in tip-top shape for guests!
2. Let your food double as decor: Let your food do the (decor) talking. You can find plenty of great summer recipe ideas online to help you create an edible masterpiece your friends will be talking about for years to come!
3. Dress for the occasion: It’s not really a party if everyone isn’t dressed to match the theme. If it’s an American-themed party then don’t forget your red, white, and blue. Make sure you provide guests with grass skirts and coconut shells for a luau, or bring out funny photobooth props for a carnival-themed celebration!
