Recap: The DecoZone 2016

As you know, we hosted our annual DecoZone event at AmericasMart Atlanta this past Sunday and Monday, and it was AMAZING! We were so thankful that so many designers and trendsetters showed up to the event to share in hearing from celebrities like Chip Wade and Laurie Smith and venturing through the Market with us.

Perhaps the biggest hit of the weekend was seeing Chip Wade. We heard him talk about how to create a beautiful space in a home, whether it’s a client’s or you own, and really get into the fine details of magical home design.

We were also really excited to hear from Laurie Smith from TLC’s Trading Spaces. Although the show debuted 15 years ago, Laurie certainly hasn’t lost her touch when it comes to home design. She shared photos of her own home and talked to us about how much you can really accomplish when you choose to stick to the basics and work with what you’ve already got when it comes to the bones of your home.

Kirby Holt did his thing and showed us how to create beautiful floral designs. He came with is own selection of creations that he’s made and they were definitely something to leave you feeling starstruck.

We also enjoyed hanging out with our vendors including Rodan + Fields, Sherwin-Williams, and the Association of Design Education.

Our infamous swag bags were a hit once again this year. They featured a notebook, portfolio, and plenty of goodies from vendors!

When it came to shopping there was definitely no shortage of it. Everyone found unique items including beautiful chandeliers and creative home decor pieces such as  rugs, glassware, and handmade signs.

Our other speakers were amazing as well! From sharing tips on how to market to homeowners to how to find your way through AmericasMart Atlanta’s 3 buildings without feeling too overwhelmed, there was a lot to learn and a lot to see. 13729173_938087796301389_367753156323772666_n
