Appearing at The DECO-Zone 2016 at America’s Mart Atlanta, July 17-18

Park City, UT, Apr. 20, 2016-The DECO-Zone, sponsored by The-DSA, is the Premier Educational & Networking conference for Decorators & Home Stagers. Conference attendees also come to experience Americas Mart – one of the largest To-The-Trade-Markets in the world.  The DECO-Zone features industry experts sharing the latest trends in design, color, home staging, and technology. The 2016 Celebrity Speakers are Laurie Smith and Chip Wade, both part of HGTV and TLC’s reality decorating show craze.

Laurie Smith appeared on TLC’s Trading Spaces, one of the very first design shows, featuring designers wholaurie hs transformed rooms in 48 hours. If you watched, chances are you fell in love with Laurie’s modern twist on classic designs. Appearing for 10 seasons also led to deals with Hancock Fabrics, Lane Furniture, Quoizel Lighting and others. She also appeared on the View, decorated Katie Couric’s office during the Today Show, plus was featured in House Beautiful, House & Garden, Metropolitan Home, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Living and O Magazine. Laurie’s book, Decorating “Discovering Home – Find Your Personal Style” was recognized with a National Book Award.  She currently resides in Jackson, MS with her two children Gibson, 13 and India, 9.

chip wade 2Chip Wade began working with his father at an early age which led to an interest in design, carpentry, landscaping and renovation. He transitioned into media in 2007, appearing on HGTV’s Designed to Sell, Curb Appeal: The Block, Designed To Sell, Showdown, Design Star, Oprah, the TODAY show and Ellen’s Design Challenge. Currently, he is the host, designer and executive producer on his Emmy Award Winning series, Elbow Room. Chip is known for his unique ability to utilize cutting edge materials, processes and authentic creativity.  He is also currently filming two new shows for HGTV and DIY.

In addition to these two phenomenal speakers, The DECO-Zone 2016 will also feature a variety of other seminars with topics ranging from Feng Shui to the business of design.  The event also features The Decorating Intensive Series, an optional pre-conference event for those who want a more in-depth learning experience.
